Black holes have been the unifying theme of my astrophysical research, and in particular the interface between galaxies and supermassive black holes is where I spend most of my research time. I have spent a lot of time studying the relation between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies. Lately, I have been focussing on pairs of supermassive black holes, wether gravitationally bound (and thus binary black holes) or unbound (and possibly observable as dual active galactic nuclei). I am especially excited about gravitational wave astrophysics and synergies with electromagnetic astrophysics. Below are individual research projects that have come to some sort of completion and therefore worthy of sharing. I am working my way back to try to get everything in the last 10 years on here.
